How to use SoundCloud to store your music
With a free SoundCloud account, you can host online and then share your music. Here is a brief guide to help you get started with SoundCloud.
1. Put your sound file on SoundCloud
SoundCloud is a service available at http://soundcloud.com. Once logged in, you can upload your music file. The following formats are supported: AIFF, WAVE (WAV), FLAC, ALAC, OGG, MP2, MP3, AAC, AMR and WMA.
2. Make your track publicly available
The song you put on SoundClound is freely available (and therefore accessible from your SimpleDifferent site) if, in the settings, the track is set as public.
Click "Share" to get the share link of a public piece of music. The link address will start with https://soundcloud.com/ as in the image below.
3. Paste the link into the SimpleDifferent text editor
For the final step, just go back to the SimpleDifferent text editor, create an external link, then paste the link in the URL field.
Once you have published your site, your visitors can click the link and play your track on SoundCloud. If they have a SoundCloud account, they can even comment on your music.
